Kristina Orrling has worked more than 15 years with various aspects of drug discovery. Her scientific activities have focused on medicinal chemistry and infectious diseases. She holds a PhD in medicinal chemistry and a MSc Chemical Engineering with drug research specialization from Uppsala University, Sweden, as well as a Magistère de Physicochemie from École Normale Supériure de Lyon, France. Her professional experience includes research and marketing at Personal Chemistry, aka Biotage, Sweden, synthetic chemistry at Mercachem, the Netherlands and research, project management and teaching at VU University, the Netherlands. She was recruited to Lygature in 2014 to manage the scientific aspects of collaborative projects. Lygature is Dutch not-for-profit organization, which drives the development of new medical solutions for patients by managing public-private partnerships that bring together academia, industry and society.
